More Than 2,000 Attend Jubilee Grand Opening

Eager to see the first Texas community centered on wellness, more than 2,000 people attended Joy Fest, the grand opening of Jubilee.

The free event was a day dedicated to fun, with Ferris wheel rides and children’s activities that included tie dye tile making, gem mining, face painting, balloon artists, inflatable slides and an inflatable obstacle course. Mini golf and giant lawn games such as Connect Four, checkers and Jenga rounded out the fun.

“We were thrilled to have so many people come out to experience Joy Fest and learn more about Jubilee,” said Haley Peck, Marketing Director of Jubilee. “Even though we had heavy rain just two days prior, the event wasn’t impacted since the drainage system functioned very well, as designed and expected.”

Guests could also tour eight professionally decorated model homes by builders Chesmar Homes, Coventry Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, Tri Pointe Homes and Westin Homes. Those touring homes were also able to see the wellness features that come standard in each home in Jubilee, including circadian rhythm lighting, reverse osmosis water filtration systems and more.

Serving the Joy Fest crowd were food trucks Hardy’s, Wonder Waffle, Saucy on the Fly, Smart Drinks, Frio Pops, Royal Fresh Juices and Tap Truck Outlaw.

Home prices in Jubilee, which is located in Hockley just south of Highway 290 and a few miles from the Grand Parkway, begin in the $330,000s. Find more information about the Johnson Development community at www.liveinjubilee.com.
